Check that each item is named exactly, with the standard it is certified to: SANS 20345 for safety footwear, SANS 1397 for industrial helmets, EN 166 for eyewear, FFP2 or FFP3 to EN 149 for dust masks, EN ISO 20471 for high-visibility clothing. Compare sizes and size runs, minimum order quantities, lead times on items that are imported or made to order, branding costs and delivery. A cheaper boot that fails the first site audit is not cheaper.
